Noticing a bigger uptake in Christmas gift certificates this year.  Looks like people are asking for certificates toward their trips from friends and families.  Not a bad idea.

Our terrific tour for exploring the rugged north east of Wales and down throught the centre to the Cotswolds is selling well and looks like a great group.  We are aiming for 12 (we like to keep it small and intimate so everyone can relax and get to spots the bigger groups can’t go), at this point we have hit the halfway mark, so only 6 to go.  Seems like its the magic number this year.

Looks like the Tall Ships are a hit, we now only have 6 spots left on our June/July Ireland Tour featuring 3 days in Waterford during the Tall Ships Festival.  Great opportunity to visit Galway, Dingle and wrap it up with a terrific Festival with lots of great entertainment planned for the oldest city in Ireland (Waterford).

WCB days 5, 6 and 7

Well we are back and recovering nicely.  The trip was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time.

On Day 5 (after a rousing time in Scruffys the night before) we headed to Waterford and the Bhoys played a fundraising gig for the Solas Cancer Centre at Dooleys Hotel.  The locals showed up to support the cause and we danced the night away.  It was a great way to end the shows.

Day 6 saw us head to Dublin for a city tour and then a free afternoon to sightsee or shop depending on the mood.  There were various groups split up for musical pub tours, walking tours and just a final evening of polishing off the trip.

Day 7 departure day for most and extended stays for others.  Since we got back the e-mails and Facebook groups and comments have been flooding our in box saying what a wonderful time they had and can’t wait to go back.  Great food, great hotels, great weather and of course great company.  Lots of new friendships and plans to get together at the 2011 Irish Fair of Minnesota to see the Bhoys play.

Day 3 & 4

Concert rocked last night at the Quays Pub, everyone loved the Bhoys including the locals, pub wants them back anytime.

This morning we left Galway in great sunshine to the Cliffs of Moher, fab views and lots of photos.  Arrived in Killarney to the Towers Hotel and had a wonderful dinner.  Very few had an early night most partied into the wee hours.

On Wednesday the sun shone again for our day tour on the Dingle Peninsula.  Stopped in Castlemaine for a photo at the birthplace of the Wild Colonial Boy.  Lots of photos again today and leisure time in Dingle.  Paid a visit to Dick Macs for a few pints before heading back to Killarney to prepare for tonight’s show in Scruffys.  The Bhoys are warming up as I type,  will let you know how it goes but we know it will be fun.

WCB Day 2

Yep i know its day two but we wanted to wait until more had happened!

Day one went well, with the strong winds all the flights landed early and we got a good run at the day, made good time and the weather was cool but nice! we got a great tour of Clonmacnoise the monastic site and Owen made it to Galway with the early birds and everybody checked out Galway and had lunch before heading to the hotel for some well-earned rest. Paddy with the later birds stopped for lunch in Shannon Bridge before making it to the hotel.

Dinner was good and everybody enjoyed a few drinks or more in teh bar to help them drift of to a drink induced slumber!

Day 2

After a relaxing start we winded and bounced our way through Connemara and after what was promised to be a bad day weather wise turned out to be beautiful, the cold gone and just light showers. We hit the village of Leenanae for our first stop at the Field Pub/Gaynors for a morning drink and Irish Coffee! onwards then via Killary Harbour to Clifden with free time for lunch and explore the town, then back to Galway and Connemara Marble along the way!

So its back at the hotel now for a rest and dinner soon before we hit The Quays Pub for tonight’s performance by the Bhoys, everybody is really looking forward  to it! we will let you know how it goes!

Its nearly here, to think that all that time has flown by and The Wild Colonial Bhoys Tour will be departing USA on the 6th, just this Saturday and its all systems go!

What a line up of venues for the first WCB Ireland Tour, we start in Galway and what a location the famous Quays Pub on Quay Street in Galway, right in the heart of it all, a famous Music venue in Ireland and used by TG4 the irish language TV station for many TV shows on Irish Music Talent and more, it is sure to be a great night on the 8th November!

Then we have Killarney and on the 10th November its Sruffys Pub in the Towers Hotel a renowned local night spot in Killarney.

Then we move to Waterford for the 11th November and Dooleys Hotel for a concert in the NOlan Suite and its for a great cause the South East Cancer Centre SOLAS and all moneys raised for entrance goes to the Charity.

We will keep you updated everyday on how we are getting along and will try to get up a picture or two also.

Have a great day
